A Prayer for Christians Who Suffer Persecution

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,
Lord Jesus, we come to you today to offer our prayers for those believers around the world who are being persecuted for their belief in you.

Today, we pray for Christians in the following countries: Nigeria, India, Sudan and China.

We ask for protection and courage for those who risk their lives everyday for living out their faith in you. We ask that you will bless them with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Bless them with discernment, wisdom and strength so as to be able to stand against their enemies, both spiritual and carnal.

We ask for safe keeping for those who are in prison, hospitals and hiding places; for their loved ones, both family and friends.

Also, we pray for the governments and leaders who are influenced by the evil one, Satan, that are being used in his battle against you and your kingdom. We ask that you open their eyes, hearts and minds to the truth of the Gospel; that there is one God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and one church, the believers of Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke all evil that is active in these countries.

As well, we give thanks for our brothers and sisters in the Lord. We thank you for calling these individuals into your kingdom and your ministry. Thank you for guiding them each day as they commit their lives to serving you under such difficult situations. We are grateful for their commitment to the faith, and encouraged by their strong witness. We commit to remembering them and praying for them each day.

My brothers and sisters in the Lord, as you await for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ, may you find strength, courage and contentment in knowing that the day is coming when all your sufferings will be no more, and your greatest blessing will be to stand in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for eternity!

AMEN!
